Our purpose in publishing a sampling of the correspondence we have received, in the words of Arthur W. Pink:
“…the time has again arrived for us to indicate to our loyal supporters before the Throne of Grace something of the manner and extent to which the Hearer of prayer has been pleased to grant their requests.”
“Our object in compiling this…feature is to evoke praise and thanksgiving on the part of those who are most deeply interested in this work, by quoting excerpts from some of the letters at hand telling of help and blessing received, under God…”
“Our purpose…is to evoke praise unto the Lord, that in this cloudy and dark day He is still ministering to His own, giving seed to the Sower, and then blessing the same unto the eater. We know not why the mighty God should condescend to use one so feeble and unworthy; sufficient for us that He is pleased to do so. Our longing is to be used more widely, in sending ‘portions’ to a large number of Christ’s scattered and hungry sheep. Will you not pray more definitely, dear reader, that this may be so; and that God will graciously fit and furnish the writer.”
In my daily evangelizing street ministry I came upon a pastor… [who] pastors a Seventh Day Baptist Church. Of course, they have similar views as the Seventh Day Adventists who believe like the Jews that the real Sabbath day begins at sundown each Friday. I visited this Baptist minister several Saturdays ago and gave him a copy of your book [The Sabbath and the Lord’s Day]…. Hopefully I will hear from him, but I’m not holding my breath. I’m finding myself using your books in ministry as time moves along more and more.

– sent me your book, Trappings of Popery. I had read many of the inclusions of the book previously, but find the total binding such a good and important work for all time. You are a very good writer, one of my favorites. It is one of the greatest burdens I bear, to be surrounded by so many who care so little for the wisdom of the Lord through authors that He has raised up, yet so enthralled by the writings of foolish men.

I was sure that there was a cat among the pigeons in the Mandela story… too nice to be true… your article [“Nelson Mandela International Day”: a Substitute Messiah is Idolised by the World] has opened my eyes and brain. Yes another saviour is depicted; yes another lie. We have only one Saviour in Jesus.

Thank you for the very insightful messages. As you noted in the last letter, both [American] presidential hopefuls have Papists as vice contenders. This once again proves that Rome is really in charge irrespective of the main contenders who are also in Satan’s camp. But history shows that Rome is behind all the events and… will only be defeated by the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Rome through the Jesuits controls everything, from the UN to the small countries all over the world, even the Republic of South Africa is clutched in the hand of Rome.

Something I was reading today mentioned how few there are that bring to light the evils of sin in today's world…. Certainly your ministry has been faithful through the years in proclaiming the whole counsel of God. You are someone that can be counted on to compare scripture to scripture and therefore all that hear are brought to benefit. Indeed it is sobering to us that witness your ministry to know that we are given much and will be held to much more. We are blessed very greatly because you stand on the truth of the Gospel.
