Our purpose in publishing a sampling of the correspondence we have received, in the words of Arthur W. Pink:
“…the time has again arrived for us to indicate to our loyal supporters before the Throne of Grace something of the manner and extent to which the Hearer of prayer has been pleased to grant their requests.”
“Our object in compiling this…feature is to evoke praise and thanksgiving on the part of those who are most deeply interested in this work, by quoting excerpts from some of the letters at hand telling of help and blessing received, under God…”
“Our purpose…is to evoke praise unto the Lord, that in this cloudy and dark day He is still ministering to His own, giving seed to the Sower, and then blessing the same unto the eater. We know not why the mighty God should condescend to use one so feeble and unworthy; sufficient for us that He is pleased to do so. Our longing is to be used more widely, in sending ‘portions’ to a large number of Christ’s scattered and hungry sheep. Will you not pray more definitely, dear reader, that this may be so; and that God will graciously fit and furnish the writer.”
May your labours be abundantly blessed through this new year, as we eagerly watch for His coming. Truly the “camp of the saints is compassed about” in increasing measure, may we who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, shine as lights in this world of darkness to His glory and praise.
Thank you Shaun [for the article Jesuit “Moral Theology” and the Destruction of Western Morality]. Indeed, the Jesuits have accomplished their goal – destruction of Protestantism, to the larger extent! Some years ago, I tried to order Wylie’s History of Protestantism from a “Christian” bookstore. I had to spell the word “Protestantism” three times to the assistant. They didn’t stock the set of books… We have recently watched some videos of the state of things in South Africa for the (white) farmers etc. Very worried about you and your congregation. This too is Jesuitism! A “test case” to see how far they can go.
We ask, “Why is the West so silent and not assisting more?” They are SO busy helping Moslem states but ignoring this evil in South Africa.
I have finished your Flame of Ophir book and I have really enjoyed it.
You will be pleased to know I have lent out your CD message, Why Are So Few Being Saved? of which the listeners were grateful for the scriptural clearness, and gained encouragement to witness and help to seek the elect of God.
I have the last two chapters in Revelation [the sermon series covering the entire book of Revelation] to complete and it has taken me a lot of time, about three years now. I have to take down lots of notes and go over it again and again to understand. I did go through lots of history also and it was good for me. It has been an exciting and encouraging study especially as you included the doctrines also.
Thank you for the excellent article [The Eternal Sonship of Christ]. How wonderful these truths are about our Lord! It makes your heart and mind soar to read these things. It seems so obvious that the Father could not be the Father without his Son, yet so many are blind about this.
Thank you for keeping us richly instructed from God’s Word! We are currently revisiting your [MP3] series on the Covenants; seeing the detail given in the Old Testament pointing forward to Christ has been very uplifting. May the Lord continue to bless you and the ministry.
This is excellent [the pamphlet The Tulip is Not the Only Flower in Scripture!]. You are so right to say that many focus primarily on the Doctrines of Grace to the exclusion of many other precious doctrines. If I can say, reverently, many “Calvinists” make an idol of them along with being “reformed”. Many preachers unite with one another on the issue of “Calvinism”, ignoring other important doctrines such as the eternal Sonship of Christ, as you said! John MacArthur denied this essential doctrine for years and he was still thought of as one of the greatest evangelical ministers around. And it appears that many easily disregard the doctrines of Separation and Sanctification “as long as we’re all Calvinists”. I love that about your teaching -you teach on all of God’s Word and in a thorough manner.
