April 2018

You have once again set forth the truth in this article [An Unbiblical “Day of Prayer” in South Africa’s Parliament] by showing how two-faced the natural human is in both his politics and his supposed “religion”.  What you have set forth, especially in the realm on the separation of church and state, is mirrored concerning the U.S.A.  Here in the U.S.A. many try and force their version (which is a false version) of “Christianity” in all facets of Government, and in order to promulgate or carry out the mixing of church and state matters it becomes imperative for them to insist on using tax money in support of their form of “religion”.  Many has been the time when I have been in conversations with those who profess to be of the Christian faith and insist the U.S.A. was established on the basis of the Christian religion, and, therefore, the Christian religion must be a moving force throughout all facets of local, state, and federal governments.   I strongly support the separation of church and state, even to the point that I inform those who will listen that the chaplains in civilian and military departments are a worthless lot in all respects when it comes to “religion”, and their positions need to be abolished.  You can only imagine the opposition and disgust they pile upon me for me believing such, especially those in the military (I’m retired military).

I hope you will be blessed to continue.

What a great article [An Unbiblical “Day of Prayer” in South Africa’s Parliament]!… [Angus] Buchan has long been a thorn in my flesh, causing strife in some who are very close to me.  He is an abject fraud.  His writings and activities really annoy me.  When he pays one of his fleeting visits to Northern Ireland, I batten the hatches and prepare for the smug onslaught.  He’s an embarrassment… Birds have nests, foxes have holes but the Son of Man had nowhere to lay His head, yet Buchan is happy to revel in his own glory.  I find it repugnant.

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve read the book [The Madness of Multiculturalism] and it was very good.  Shocking the things that go on in Africa in the 21st century.  Nothing has changed for millennia, since Cush!

Shaun, I just finished your book, The Prophecy of Matthew 24.  EXCELLENT!

Your book on The Prophecies of Daniel is one of the best books I ever read on the prophecies of Daniel.  OUTSTANDING!  May I make a suggestion? That you write a book about the prophecies of the Book of Revelation that would go with it.

(In reply)

Thanks very much for the words of encouragement.  And you’ll be pleased to know that a book (or possibly more than one book) on the book of Revelation is being planned.  Having preached through the book of Revelation, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, over many years, it was always my plan to do this, if the Lord willed.  It will take a few years, but God willing it will be done. – Shaun Willcock

May the Lord bless your labour in all that you do for Him and his Kingdom.  It is not easy to be a lone voice in the wilderness, but praise God that you do.  May you be steadfast in your calling all the days of your life…

We are working our way through [the series of sermons on the book of Revelation] again and as always it is a tremendous blessing.  May the Lord bless you for all that hard work.  It also makes us aware what shoddy work preachers are doing as they lack sound Bible exegesis.  I know that it is very hard work to read through Gibbon.  But you bless us every day.  Thank you so much.  I can say that what I have learnt I have learnt from you.  If I hear the same elsewhere, it is only confirmation of what you have preached.  I praise the Lord for setting me free from a lot of garbage.

As always, you did an excellent job on your article, An Unbiblical ‘Day of Prayer’ in South Africa’s Parliament.  It covered many important points of truth that believers should be mindful of.

First and foremost, as you so rightly pointed out, this idea that someone can pray/repent/ask for forgiveness, etc., etc. on BEHALF of another, or others, is completely unbiblical.  In fact, it sounds like Anneke Rabie (the woman you mentioned in your article, who claimed to be praying/confessing/repenting, etc., on behalf of all SA Whites) was/is guilty of a heretical teaching called Identificational Repentance.  Essentially, Identificational Repentance involves identifying oneself “with a corporate group of people to confess that group’s social sins.” Also, it can be described as standing “in the gap as a substitute for a corporate people in order to nullify so-called ‘generational curses.’” Sadly, this false doctrine is the basis of the Reconciliation Movement and it is patently unscriptural – even though it tries to pull people in with its “feel good” aspects.  It was the late C. Peter Wagner (1930-2016) who deceptively promoted IR “as one of the [primary] ‘New Spiritual Weapons’ for advancing the Kingdom of God on earth.”  Tragically, Wagner was a misguided “leader” who deceived many…

I absolutely loved how you laid out the critical distinction between Church and State (in your article); and you backed it up with key verses of the Bible.  This is so important that believers understand this.  False movements like Dominionism, the New Apostolic Reformation, etc. that push this idea of christianizing the State, must be exposed.  Your article does just that, which is extremely helpful and provides much-needed clarity on this topic.  As I said earlier, the whole article was/is great and it spoke truth in various areas.

Thank you, Shaun.  By the grace of God, you are doing the Lord’s work – especially in these very unstable and wicked times.  You all are in my prayers….  May we all remain “strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might” (Eph. 6:10).  Amen!
