Just when we think we’ve heard it all about the abominable deeds of the Papacy, something else is exposed to remind us that we’ve never plumbed the depths of this religious system’s depravity…
In October 2011 an investigation revealed that in Spain, up to 300 000 babies were stolen from their parents and sold for adoption over a period of fifty years. Now such a revelation is shocking enough on its own. But what makes this crime infinitely worse, is that this massive, criminal baby-stealing racket was carried on, not just by doctors and nurses, but by priests and nuns of the “Church” of Rome!
Yes – the children were trafficked by a secret network of doctors, nurses, priests and nuns in a widespread practice that began in Spain under the dictatorship of General Franco, and continued right up until the early 1990s! It started when the children of parents who were viewed as politically dangerous to the Franco regime were taken away from them. But after Franco died in 1975 the practice continued, as the Roman Catholic “Church” continued to have a very powerful influence over the public life of Spain, including its social services. Franco was a Roman Catholic, and he was supported in his political ambitions by Hitler and Mussolini, and by the Vatican. The Franco dictatorship held the Roman Catholic “Church” in the highest esteem, and it restored the “Church” to its position as the State religion of Spain. The priests of Rome threw their considerable weight behind Franco’s regime. It is not at all surprising, then, that in the Spanish Roman Catholic hospitals these same priests – and nuns – assisted the Franco regime by taking away children from parents who were viewed as its enemies. And then, even after Franco died, the “Church” of Rome saw how lucrative the practice was to itself – and simply continued with it, for the rest of the 1970s, then the 1980s, and into the 1990s. Only in 1987 did the Spanish government begin to regulate adoptions, instead of the “Church”-run hospitals.
This is the awful reality of this religious institution which arrogantly dares to calls itself “the Church of Jesus Christ on earth”. It is a devilish lie.
So how did these priests and nuns, these servants of Satan, in cahoots with medical workers, pull off this massive baby-stealing crime? They told the mothers, as they lay in Spanish hospitals, that their firstborn children had died during birth or soon afterwards. Many of these mothers were young and unmarried, and when they asked to see the bodies of their babies or attend their funerals, they were told that they could not do so. In truth, their babies had not died – they had been stolen and then sold to childless but devout and financially well-off Roman Catholic couples, who were deemed to be more appropriate parents because of their devoutness and their money! These couples were not always told that the child had been stolen, but were told that the birth mother had given her child up for adoption.
In order to pull off this great evil, official documents were forged, with the adoptive parents’ names being put on the babies’ birth certificates. It is believed that the cases may account for up to 15 percent of the total adoptions that occurred in Spain between 1960 and 1989!
Thus Rome’s priests, viewed by millions of devout Roman Catholics worldwide as holy men, “other Christs” in fact, and Rome’s nuns, viewed by the Roman Catholic faithful as women above other women, pious and selfless, had been involved in a huge conspiracy, brazenly lying to grieving mothers, and stealing and then selling their children to others, who would raise them in the Roman Catholic faith and (importantly to these evil servants of the pope) increase the coffers of the “Church” as well.
But then, as shocked as all decent people are by these revelations, we should never lose sight of the vile nature of this religious system which so falsely claims to be the true Church of Christ on earth. After all, when it comes to children, this “Church” has done some abominable things, and continues to do so. Its priests have sexually abused children. This wickedness has gone on through all the centuries of this so-called “Church’s” existence, but in recent decades it has been exposed for the world to see, and the sheer scale of this abuse has shocked and horrified millions around the world, including millions of Roman Catholics. It has occurred on every continent, and although thousands have been found guilty, there are many thousands more who are just as guilty but will never be caught. I have written about this on a number of occasions, and these articles are readily available.
Then too, many centuries ago Rome brought in the doctrine that its priests and nuns were not allowed to marry (a doctrine called in Scripture a “doctrine of devils”, and for good reason: 1 Tim. 4:1-3). An enforced celibate priesthood meant that many sexual liaisons occurred between priests and nuns, and between priests and other women, both those of a consensual nature, and rapes. And often it has been the case that children born to nuns or other Roman Catholic women, fathered by priests, have been murdered, as has been testified by women who were intimately acquainted with the perpetrators of such crimes. In 1848 in France, the French republican government ordered that convents be searched, and Giuseppe Garibaldi personally visited all the convents the following year. And without exception, in every single one he found vaults in which were the bones of babies.
I have also written of the recent discovery in Belfast, Northern Ireland, of a mass grave of “unbaptized” babies of Roman Catholic parents.
We ought not, then, to be surprised by these recent revelations from Spain. It is just the latest evidence, which has been accumulating for centuries, of the filthy, vile nature of Roman Catholicism.
The shocking scandal first drew attention when two men, Juan Luis Moreno and Antonio Barroso, learned that they had been stolen when they were babies. The man who Juan Luis had always believed was his father confessed on his deathbed that he had bought him as a baby from a Roman Catholic priest in northern Spain; and he also said that he had been accompanied on the trip by the couple who had bought Antonio at the same time, from a nun. They had paid 200 000 pesetas, which at the time was a huge amount of money. Antonio said, “That was the price of an apartment back then. My parents paid it in instalments over the course of ten years because they did not have enough money.”
The nun who sold Antonio has now confessed to the crime, and DNA tests have proved that the couple who raised Antonio were not his biological parents.
These two men went public with their stories, and this caused mothers all over Spain to come forward and tell their own stories of how they had been told that their babies had died at birth or soon afterwards, although they did not believe it.
A BBC documentary entitled This World: Spain’s Stolen Babies, followed one mother’s search for her son. It also featured an interview with a woman, named Ines Perez, now 89 years old, who admitted that a priest encouraged her to fake her pregnancy so that she could be given a baby who was due to be born in 1969 in a clinic in Madrid. Perez said, “The priest gave me padding to wear on my stomach.” This clinic, the San Ramon clinic, was a major centre for the stealing of babies, it was claimed. Many mothers who gave birth in this clinic have said that when they asked to see their supposedly dead child, they were shown the corpse of a baby that appeared to be freezing cold. The documentary showed photographs taken in the 1980s of a dead baby in a freezer, allegedly shown to the mothers.
In addition, some of the babies’ supposed graves have now been exhumed, only to discover that the graves contained bones belonging to adults or animals – or they were empty.
Today, hundreds of families whose babies were taken from Spanish hospitals in those decades are now calling for a government investigation into this terrible crime. But thus far they have failed to get the government to act, because amnesty laws passed after Franco died mean that crimes which occurred under his government are not usually examined. But there are 900 cases currently being reviewed on a case-by-case basis by regional prosecutors! This gives some idea of the sheer scale of the crime committed. Nevertheless, according to journalist Katya Adler, who investigated this scandal, “There is very little political will to get to the bottom of the situation.”
According to Adler, “There are men and women across Spain whose lives have been turned upside-down by discovering the people they thought were their parents actually bought them for cash. There are also many mothers who have maintained for years that their babies did not die – and were labelled ‘hysterical’ – but are now discovering that their child has probably been alive and brought up by somebody else all this time.”
It is believed that there are thousands more cases, but that these will never be revealed because the stolen children do not want their adoptive parents to be viewed as criminals.
Spain is the latest country where this scandal has been exposed, but it is not the only country where it has occurred in recent times. In the early 1990s in Poland, a woman in a Roman Catholic home for single mothers said that the nuns caring for her pressed her to give up her unborn child for adoption. And a number of other women in Poland then came forward and wrote that the same thing had happened to them. It was reported that the “Mother Superior” of the home received up to $25000 for each baby boy, and $15000 for each girl. An adoption official said, “People know about it. I wouldn’t hesitate to say everyone involved in adoption in this country knows about it. But no-one wants to speak up. You see, for 45 years we were scared of the Communists. Now it is the Church [of Rome] that is controlling Poland, and again we are afraid, even though we are Catholics.”
And in the early 1990s in Quebec, Canada, hundreds of people publicly stated that they were victims of abuse by the nuns who ran the orphanages where they lived in Quebec during the 1940s and 1950s. Although they were called orphans, many were in fact born to unmarried women and then taken from them. In 1993 a group claiming to represent 4000 orphans started filing class-action suits against the Quebec government and the Roman Catholic religious orders that ran six orphanages.
Can this institution really be even a true church of Christ, let alone the Church of Christ as it claims? The answer is a resounding No. It bears none of the marks of a true Christian church as outlined in the Bible, and all of the marks of the religious Whore described prophetically in Revelation chapter 17. Its “ministers” are ministers of unrighteousness; true ministers are not to be greedy of filthy lucre, but these false “ministers” are (1 Tim. 3:3); and they will not hesitate to stoop to lies, kidnapping, and every other evil under the sun if it suits them. In 1 Tim. 1:10, “menstealers” are listed right next to “liars”. In Exod. 21:16 it says, “And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him... he shall surely be put to death.” And Deut 24:7 says, “If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put away evil from among you.” Stealing and selling a man is evil enough; but stealing and selling a baby?
Truly, this institution is the most abominable institution to ever disgrace the face of the earth.
Let us pray for Rome’s priests and nuns, that many would be granted repentance, and saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, for then they will leave Rome, and serve Christ in newness of life. And pray for the Roman Catholic people in general, deceived by these ungodly men and women, and held captive to their pagan high priest in the Vatican, who presides over this “habitation of devils” (Rev. 18:2).
