(But It Has Nothing to Do with Democracy…)

by Shaun Willcock In January 2011, protests erupted in Tunisia and quickly spread to other Arab countries, and the world watched amazed as the streets of these countries’ capital cities filled with hundreds of thousands of angry, chanting, screaming protesters, calling for their governments to step down or be overthrown.  And how did the liberal media report these riots?  As “protests for democracy”!  As “popular uprisings”!  And this brazen media smokescreen has been accepted as the truth, by most of the world! Two questions for those who have swallowed the bait: Since when has the Muslim world ever been interested in “democracy” and “human rights”, those pet ideologies of the secularised West?  Answer: Never!  Not yesterday, not today, and it will not be interested tomorrow.  For example, according to the statistics, half of all Egyptians support the terrorist organisation Hamas, 30% support the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, 20% express support for Al-Qaeda, 95% want a stronger Islamic influence in their politics, and some 75% said they would support elements of Shariah law, including the death penalty for those who leave the Islamic religion.[1] So any foolish notion that what is happening in the Middle East is some kind of “pro-democracy uprising” should be dumped immediately.  It’s not.  This is Western media spin, not reality in the Islamic Middle East. And: do such massive, widespread uprisings just happen, spontaneously? Answer: No!  The uprisings of the French Revolution were not spontaneous, nor were those of the Bolshevik Revolution, nor those of 1989/1990 in the former Soviet Union and the Communist eastern-bloc countries.  When one sees such riots breaking out virtually simultaneously in many countries, one can be sure there’s nothing spontaneous about them.  These massive seismic shifts do not just “happen”.  They are made to happen. So what is going on?  What is happening in the Islamic Middle East?  In a word: revolution.  Not a “democratic revolution” as the liberal Western media has sold it to the world, but an Islamic revolution, orchestrated behind the scenes by fanatics bent on taking power – yes, even from their fellow Muslims. Ask yourself: who stands to gain the most from these riots?  No doubt about it: vicious Islamic organisations, such as Al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and others.  They are the ones who have been stirring the pot behind the scenes, orchestrating the eruptions of hundreds of thousands into the streets.  Nothing spontaneous about it, and it’s not from any desire for “democracy” either. What is occurring is like an action replay of what occurred when the Carter Administration backed the violent revolution which brought the evil Ayatollah to power in Iran in 1979.  When Iran fell, this was the first step in the modern radical Islamic expansionist agenda.  The parallels are so obvious and striking that some Muslim religious leaders have called the Egyptian riots an extension of the 1979 revolution!  For example, Iranian religious leader, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, said: “Thirty-one years after the victory of the Islamic Republic [of Iran], we are faced with the obvious fact that these movements are the aftershocks of the Islamic Revolution.  The fate of those who challenge [our] religion is destruction.”  And he certainly showed up the lie that these protests are pro-democracy riots when he added: “They [the media and government leaders] want to highlight the labour, liberal and democratic issues, but the most important issue, which is the religious streak of these protests, [is] being denied.”[2] There you have it, straight out of the horse’s mouth!  This is a religious Islamic uprising, orchestrated and deliberate. And what makes this all the more terrible is the covert backing being given to these madmen by the Obama White House! Previously, America was a strong supporter of Israel in the Middle East.  Of course, it was not always simultaneously anti-Islamic, and at times the White House was very supportive of regime changes in the Muslim world that were anything but peaceful or good for the area, or for the world.  It all depends on what kind of men are ensconced in power in the United States.  One just has to remember how America, under Jimmy Carter, turned on its ally, the Shah of Iran, and backed the violent Islamic revolution of the Ayatollah in that country back in 1979.  For its own reasons, the U.S.  has at times given covert support to some of the worst Muslim terrorist organisations on the face of the planet.  Nothing unusual in that: the U.S. has often supported other terrorist outfits as well and even helped them come to power, especially Communist ones such as the ANC in South Africa.  The American people, as a whole, have historically been Capitalist, anti-Communist, and America has been a bastion of freedom; but the American government has often been the very opposite: anti-Capitalist, pro-Communist, under the control of the One-World, New World Order Globalists plotting behind the scenes.  And these powerful men long ago took control of the media, Hollywood, etc., and have succeeded in swinging large swathes of the American people away from their once-traditional conservatism, into the arms of the liberal, leftist, pro-Communist (and now also pro-Islamic) radicals ruling from Washington – without them even being aware of the Socialist revolution that has occurred in America without a shot being fired. Yes, there was support for some Islamic regimes before.  But never before has the U.S. been so pro-Islamic in general as it is now, under Barack Obama.  This is a man who is extremely fond of Muslim madmen, and quite obviously anti-Israel.  Now let me make myself clear: I do not subscribe to the unbiblical doctrine that the Jews who make up the modern state of Israel are in some way the “people of God”.  This is nonsense.  God’s people are true Christians – whether Jews or Gentiles (Gal. 3:28).  There is no special status for Jews, as a nation, any more, and the Bible makes this abundantly clear.  Jews, just like Gentiles, must turn from their sins and receive Christ the Lord by faith, or they are lost.  “Christian Zionism” is an utterly false teaching.  But that being said, let me add immediately that, while it is wrong to take the attitude of “Israel right or wrong”, nevertheless the Jewish state has an absolute right to exist.  It is a sovereign state, it is there, it has been there for many decades, and it has every right to defend itself against the wicked, horrifying aggression of the Arab world.   And it is shocking that the world media, the Obama Administration, and so many other liberals, Reds, and their fellow-travellers have turned or are turning their backs on Israel and embracing the madmen of Islam. It wasn’t that long ago when such Arab organisations as the PLO were recognised for what they were: brutal, murderous terrorist outfits, to be shunned by all.  But today?  Today, Israel stands alone, not only against the same terrorist Islamic groups it has always fought, but now also against its one-time Western allies, such as the USA and the EU.  What a world we live in, where the atrocities committed by Soviet-backed Muslim terror organisations in the 1970s and 1980s are now forgotten or swept under the carpet, as lily-livered liberals and deliberately deceptive pro-Red hardliners in power in the West rush to support them! With Washington turning against it and its Egyptian ally having fallen, Israel now finds itself in grave danger.  A massive shift in the balance of power is occurring.  If Iran replaces America as Egypt’s primary military supplier, then Israel could be hit by Iranian rockets not only from Gaza, from where they have been fired for years, but from Egyptian soil as well.  This is well understood by the Israeli leadership.  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned as follows: “The Iranian regime is not interested in seeing an Egypt that protects the rights of individuals, women and minorities.  They are not interested in an enlightened Egypt that embraces the 21st century.  They want an Egypt that returns to the Middle Ages.  They want an Egypt to become another Gaza, run by radical forces that oppose everything that the democratic world stands for…. We oppose the forces that seek to enforce a dark despotism, terrorism and war.”[3] Look at what has been happening in recent weeks, and see what is emerging: In Tunisia, fanatical Muslims instigated the protests under cover of a “popular uprising”.  Large numbers of Tunisians have been very unhappy with their government for a long time, so it was not difficult for agents provocateurs to stir them up.  An Egyptian security official said of the Tunisian protests, “It is absolutely a popular uprising, but the Islamists are using the faces of ordinary citizens, the images of doctors and lawyers we are seeing, to bring themselves to power.  They are instigating the protests behind the scenes.”[4] And quickly, the violent riots toppled the 23-year rule of Tunisia’s president, Zine Abidine Ben Ali, who fled the country on January 14. In Lebanon, the Muslim terrorist organisation, Hezbollah, collapsed the Lebanese government and the new government that is being formed looks like it will be hijacked by Hezbollah, with a new Hezbollah-backed prime minister.  And Hezbollah is backed by the radical government of Iran. In Yemen, violent protests erupted against Yemen’s leader, Ali Abdullah Saleh.   Al-Qaeda and other terror groups have operated with impunity in Yemen.  In the north of the country, there is a rebellion caused by Shia radicals sponsored by Iran, and in the south there is a Marxist secession movement.  And in addition, part of the country is controlled by an Al-Qaeda affiliate.  It is true that Yemen’s leadership has been a brutal dictatorship.  But tragically, what could replace it will be even worse, more radical and more violent than what the people of Yemen have ever known before. And in Egypt, after weeks of violent protests, President Hosni Mubarak finally stepped down, caving in to the lawless crowds filling Cairo’s streets and committing all kinds of acts of barbarism and destruction.  The riots in Egypt have in particular grabbed the attention of the world, possibly because of Egypt’s popularity as a tourist destination.  Certainly, it is the most well-known Arab country to the rest of the world.  As the protests continued and rioting, looting and violence broke out, foreign nations began organising evacuation flights for their citizens.  “As final proof that things [were] getting pretty scary on the ground… the Iraqi embassy [was] planning to organise to airlift its nationals to safety in Baghdad.  Baghdad as a safe haven from Cairo?”[5] The radical organisation known as the Muslim Brotherhood is the main opposition group; and it was directly involved in the Cairo protests, stirring the masses up.  Both the terrorist Hamas, and the terrorist Al-Qaeda, were offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood.  And Hamas, backed by Iran, sent its own members into Egypt to collaborate with the Muslim Brotherhood in its goal of toppling Mubarak’s government. The Brotherhood, in addition to sending thousands of its supporters into the streets of Cairo to call for the end of Mubarak’s rule, also formed so-called “people’s committees” (ah, there’s a nice old Communist term for you) to replace the Egyptian police, who virtually disappeared from Cairo’s streets as the protests continued.  These “people’s committees” were co-ordinating the activities of the demonstrators.[6] How eerily reminiscent of what the Communist-supported ANC did in South Africa, and of what so many Communist terror groups did as they fought for power.  At the top, international Communism (which is still very much alive and well) and international Islam tie together, with the latter using many of the former’s tactics after having been trained by Reds for decades. But what is the common denominator in the supposedly “spontaneous” uprisings in these four countries?  This: the leaders of Tunisia, Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt, for all their faults (and they are many), were all somewhat allied to the West!  Take Ben Ali of Tunisia: he was seen as an ally of the West in the volatile Middle East.  In fact, Israeli security officials have even stated that Ben Ali worked behind the scenes with Israel at times.  Then take Saleh of Yemen: he, too, was considered a crucial ally of the U.S. in its war against Al-Qaeda in Yemen and in the rest of the Middle East.  Or take Lebanon: there the prime minister, Saad Hariri, was also somewhat allied to the West. And as for Egypt’s Mubarak: as the most populous Arab country and certainly one of the most influential, Egypt was a key player, as far as the U.S. and the West were concerned, in maintaining peace in the Middle East.  Decades ago Egypt had been allied to the Soviet Union, but then it became a Western ally, and had not been a danger to Israel for many years.  It was the only Muslim nation with a long-lasting peace agreement with Israel, and it received over a billion dollars a year in military assistance from the U.S., plus  substantial military training funding and large amounts of military equipment transfers and sales – not to mention the fact that for three decades the officer corps of the Egyptian military has been educated at U.S. defence colleges.[7] So this was the common denominator: these countries were Western allies.  Now it is true that these Muslim presidents are far from being “nice guys”.  They are guilty of many things, no doubt about it, especially against their own people.  It is difficult to speak of “moderate” and “fanatical” Muslims, because in truth even those considered “moderates” are so often fanatics as well.  “Moderate” and “fanatic” are very relative terms when applied to Muslims.  Islam is simply not a moderate religion.  But the West, and in particular the United States, worked to some extent with these governments because, compared with the alternatives, it was viewed as being better to work with these men!  Mubarak, in particular, brought a measure of stability and also played something of a “moderating role” in the region.  But the consequence, of course, was that they and their governments were hated by Al-Qaeda and its fanatical allies, and they have been targeted for this very reason.  The fact is, the Muslim world is not one big united place!  There are factions, and men with differing ambitions and goals, just as there are anywhere in the world.  And they are making use of widespread Arab discontent with their governments to inflame the masses into revolting, the plan being to take power once these governments fall. There is another common denominator, too, in many of these uprisings: the governments of many of them embrace the Sunni version of Islam, whereas the protesters are primarily of the Shiite variety of Islam.  This, too, accounts of the Muslim-on-Muslim violence occurring. So, yes – what we are witnessing is Muslim against Muslim, Arab against Arab.  But it has absolutely nothing to do with any supposed yearning in Arab hearts for Western-style “democracy”!  It is all about power; about removing Muslim governments considered favourable to “the Great Satan”, America, and replacing them with even more fanatical Muslim governments. This was admitted by the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, Hammam Saeed, who warned that what was happening in Egypt would spread across the Middle East until leaders allied to the United States were toppled! He said: “The Americans and Obama must be losing sleep over the popular revolt in Egypt.  Now, Obama must understand that the people have woken up and are ready to unseat the tyrant leaders who remained in power because of U.S. backing.”[8] Well, actually, Obama will not be losing too much sleep over it at all, given his extremely pro-Islamic stance.  Such statements are just for public consumption: men like Saeed know very well that in Obama they have an ally.  But he must be made to look as if he is against them, so as not to alert people to what is really going on behind the scenes. The Obama Administration has a very different, far more radical agenda in the Middle East than its predecessors did – and it doesn’t involve propping up those regimes viewed as more “moderate” and kinder to Israel.  The Muslim Brotherhood is very anti-Western.  And yet, the Obama White House was actually championing the Egyptian protests, with arch-Socialist Hillary Clinton, the U.S. Secretary of State, calling for a “transition to democratic rule” in Egypt, even though it well knows that the Muslim Brotherhood is the main opposition and will almost certainly take power! The Muslim Brotherhood is being portrayed, by smokescreen creators in the West, as a moderate, non-violent organisation that can be trusted.  But is it really non-violent and moderate?  Far from it!  In November 2010, Muhammad Badi, supreme guide of the Brotherhood, delivered a sermon with the title: “How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny.”  In it he declared: “Resistance is the only solution.  The United States cannot impose an agreement upon the Palestinians, despite all the power at its disposal.  [Today] it is withdrawing from Iraq, defeated and wounded, and is also on the verge of withdrawing from Afghanistan because it has been defeated by Islamist warriors.”  And he added that the U.S. is easy to defeat through violence, because it is “experiencing the beginning of its end and is heading towards its demise.”[9] Hmmm…these really sound like the words of a peaceful, non-violent, moderate Muslim, don’t they?  Oh, and incidentally, he was very right about one thing: America, morally rotten from within, is a nation in decline.  Muslims have certainly got that right. But the U.S. sends the deliberately deceptive message that there’s nothing to fear from these Islamics.  Dana Perino, former spokeswoman for President Bush, said: “Don’t be afraid of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.  This has nothing to do with religion.”[10] What?  It has everything to do with religion!  A religion described in the Bible as “smoke out of the [bottomless] pit” (Rev. 9:2). Bruce Reidel, former CIA analyst and advisor to Obama, wrote: “The Egyptian Brotherhood renounced violence years ago…its relative moderation has made it the target of extreme vilification by more radical Islamists.”[11] This sounds so like what the Americans used to say about South Africa’s ANC – that it was a somewhat moderate organisation, far better than more “radical” organisations, which therefore could be trusted.  Yes, and look how that turned out. The Egyptian government suspected that elements of the Egyptian protests, in particular political aspects, were being co-ordinated with the U.S. State Department!  A senior Egyptian diplomat said Mubarak’s government suspected the U.S. had been aiding protest planning by one Mohamed el Baradei, one of the main opposition leaders, seen as an ally of the Muslim Brotherhood. It is not at all surprising or out of character for America to be deeply involved.  But how sad that the country still incorrectly viewed as the “leader of the free world” is up to its neck in supporting Red and Islamic terror organisations the world over! American involvement in Egypt’s affairs has caused rage among many Egyptians, voiced by various Egyptian writers.  For example, Egyptian journalist Anwar al-Hawari wrote: “Obama discusses Egypt’s affairs out of an imperialistic mentality.  I don’t know who authorized him to speak in my name as an Egyptian citizen.  Tell me, Obama, what are your country’s real interests in what is happening in Egypt right now?  What is your role in instigating these events?  Tell me, what is your agenda?”  Very good questions, which Americans should be asking as well.  And: “You, Obama, want my country to share the fate you have arranged for Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.”  Yes, true.  Others voiced similar sentiments.  Muhammad Ali Ibrahim, editor of an Egyptian government daily, wrote: “Does Washington [mean to] overlook 85 million Egyptians and deal directly with the [person] it trusts, without considering the Egyptians?…. Who authorized America to try to shape Egypt’s future after Mubarak?…. Ultimately, what America wants is for Egypt to be in the state of political vacuum…. What America wants is for Egypt to become a country without independent decision, [subject to] the decision of the American administration – a proxy state.”[12] Again, very true. And according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, “Also critical of Obama’s policy were columnists in other Arab countries, who accused the U.S. of abandoning… Mubarak and of willingness to sell out its allies, including Israel, to further its own goals.  They claimed that the U.S. encouraged the Arab opposition not in order to promote human rights, as it claimed, but in order to realize a hidden agenda and preserve its influence over the Arab world in all circumstances.”  For example, note this from Adel Abd Al-Rahma writing in a paper of the Palestinian Authority: “For the thousandth time, the U.S. is proving that it will sell out its allies at the first political crossroads…. Not long ago, the U.S. announced that it was immediately abandoning Tunisian President Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali, known to have strong relations with it; today, it is maneuvering against the leader of Egypt’s regime…. Who has forgotten the Shah of Iran and his role as guardian of the American interest – and who has forgotten what the [U.S.] did to him?”  Or this, voiced by Emir Saif Al-Islam bin Saud bin abd Al-Aziz, a lecturer at King Saud University: “What has the American weapon been since the American president’s speech at Cairo University in the summer of 2009 to the Islamic and Arab world – The first weapon is conspiring with the oppositionist political elites…. The American Administration has [another] frightening weapon, aimed at fomenting ‘creative chaos’ and creating a new Arab reality.”[13] These Arab writers are very correct.  “Such massive seismic shifts in world power structure are never  coincidence.  If you keep digging, sooner or later, you will find those responsible.  In this case, it is Barack Obama – Bill and Hillary Clinton – their old friends Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn and their friendly economic wrecking ball George Soros.”[14] In early February, in Egypt, a coalition was formed, uniting representatives of various Egyptians groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, which presented a list of demands to the government.   One of these was a demand for a “national unity government” to secure a “peaceful transition of power” and oversee constitutional reforms.[15] South Africans can well understand what this is all about, remembering how the radical, pro-Marxist ANC of Nelson Mandela, in the years before the rigged election of 1994 that brought the ANC to power, caused widespread chaos throughout the country and then demanded a “national unity government” to secure a so-called “peaceful transition of power.”  Its demands were met – and today South Africa is a Marxist state.  It looks like the Islamists in Egypt are following almost exactly the same steps on their own road to power.  Revolutionaries the world over study the same textbooks. Other demands were for the army to protect demonstrators from “the violence of criminals and thugs belonging to the corrupt regime”, and the release of all detained comrades.  Again, this is exactly what happened in South Africa: the terrorists caused the chaos and the violence, then blamed it on the “corrupt regime” and demanded that the army be sent in to protect “the people” from violence – the violence they had caused!  And they also demanded the release of all “political prisoners” (terrorists in truth) – and they got their way, with the release of Mandela and others who had been legitimately imprisoned years before for their crimes against the State. And in the wake of the events in Tunisia, Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt, the governments of Algeria, Jordan, Morocco and other states were watching events closely, fearing similar fates awaited them…and with very good reason.  “Jordan and other Arab nations in the region are rushing to replace their own regimes before Islamic terror groups ignite a protest for so-called democracy against their governments.  They all see the writing on the wall, as President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cut pro-west dictators loose across the Middle East, and allow terror organizations to claim control of their governments.”[16] Well, it didn’t take long for the trouble to start in these countries too: Algeria is a brutal regime, and it is also attempting to accommodate militant Muslim groups.  Many fanatical Islamic terror groups are based in Algeria.  And now the protests have started there, too. Jordan, a constitutional monarchy with the king having executive powers, is viewed as a moderate Arab nation, allied to the West and very dependent on U.S. aid.  And protests have now been growing there. Morocco is ruled by a king who controls everything, and the Sunni version of Islam is the state religion. Although relatively peaceful till now, this could change as the Islamic terrorist groups move in and agitate.  Thousands have moved into the streets of the cities demanding change and a limit on the king’s power. In Ramallah (the West Bank), the Palestinian cabinet resigned on February 14, an attempt by President Mahmoud Abbas to show political reform. In tiny Bahrain, protests have been occurring as well – and again, the protesters are Shiite Muslims, who are in the majority in the country, whereas the rulers are Sunnis. What about Syria?  Ruled by a vicious military Socialist dictatorship, sponsor of the terrorist Hezbollah outfit, virulently opposed to Israel, there have been stirrings, and Syria may yet feel the wrath of the Islamic terrorists agitating across the Middle East because although Islam is recognised as the religion of the majority, it is a secular state, and this is something Muslim fanatics cannot abide. Even in Iran there have been smaller demonstrations, although there the security forces appeared to be in full control.  But why in Iran?  This is a government which actively supports some of the very Islamic groups stirring up trouble in other countries, so why would Iran’s authorities experience the same kind of upheavals?  Well, these might just be the inevitable spill-over from other countries’ troubles, caused here by dissatisfied Iranians, or they may yet prove to be orchestrated events against even this radical Islamic government.  Time will tell. And then came Libya!  It began to experience bloody riots and protests as well, which surprised many, for like the government of Iran, Libyan leader Gaddafi is a terrorist-supporting brutal dictator; why then would his regime be targeted by terrorist groups?  Well, the state religion is the Sunni version of Islam, not the Shiite version; and this could account for it, as most of the Islamic terrorist groups are Shiites.  In addition, in recent years Gaddafi, once a pariah to the West and viewed as a hero by Muslims,  has been embraced by Western countries hungry for oil and lucrative business opportunities in Libya, and this would have really angered radical Shiite Muslims across the region.  Violent clashes have now occurred between those opposed to Gaddafi and those who support him, and the Libyan dictator has begun to brutally clamp down on the protests.  Hundreds have been killed.  It appears military aircraft even fired at the crowds in the capital, Tripoli.  His son, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, appeared on state television warning of civil war unless order was restored, and saying, “There is a plot against Libya.” He blamed “an Islamic group with a military agenda”[17] for the bloodshed in the second-largest city, Benghazi.  He was right about that: in Libya as in the other Arab states, these riots are not spontaneous, but are being carefully orchestrated by Islamic fanatics wanting to take power.  As with most of the other Arab states in turmoil, a brutal regime may be crumbling, but what will take its place will likely be far worse, even, than Gaddafi’s dictatorial rule. If things continue as planned by these Islamic fanatics, they will take power in one Arab country after another.  It is too early to tell how far this will go, but we are certainly witnessing huge changes occurring in the Middle East – and NOT for the better. And then?  What next?  Next will be a strengthened Islam posing an even greater threat than it already does to the Western world.  In the words of David Rubin, former mayor of the Israeli town of Shiloh and author of the book The Islamic Tsunami: “There is a plan to take over Western civilization, and we need to recognise it for what it is.”  He added: “Confronting the growing threat to Western civilization first involves admitting the problem exists, something President Obama not only refuses to do but strongly denies.  The Administration has censored any discussion of the problem in these terms within the government, preferring to focus on ill-defined ‘violent extremism’ when the real extremist threat is only partly violent and wholly Islamicist.” [18] (Italics added).  Read that last part again. Make no mistake about it: these Islamic revolutions are being controlled behind the scenes by international Socialists/Communists.  The very same people who brought Barack Obama to power in the United States.[19] For a long time now, the international Communist movement has made use of Islamic fanatics to do its dirty work.  While the world thinks that Communism is dead, it is very much alive and working behind the scenes, pulling the strings which make the Islamists dance. “In other words, behind the fall of pro-west Arab governments is alleged democracy protests, led by college aged kids, just like most progressive protests in the US and Europe.  Behind those protesters in the Middle East stands an Islamic terror organization ready to seize political power… and behind those terror organizations, we find the individuals named above [the Clintons, Obama, Ayers, Dohrn, Piven, Brzezinski, Soros and Co., etc.], all of whom were behind the election of Barack Hussein Obama in the United States. “International Marxists behind the Obama Administration are also behind the Middle East meltdown.  Clinton and Obama claim that these protests are nothing more than democracy seeking youths tired of economic strife and ready for ‘change.’  If this is true, then why is every nation being taken over by radical Islamic terror regimes, which have more than a thousand years of tyrannical history of being the most brutally undemocratic leaders on earth?  And if this is an organic uprising within the populations of these countries, why are these uprisings led by the same domestic Marxists leading the socialist revolution in America?”[20] Again, very good questions, which Americans and other Westerners should be asking…but aren’t. And how should the Christian respond to all these events? It is vital to understand that Christians living in these Middle East countries are suffering greatly in the turmoil.  Persecution of Christians has been growing in many of them, including Egypt, and their position is a very precarious and dangerous one.  True Christians should be earnestly praying for their brothers and sisters throughout the Middle East; for their safety, and for the spread of the Gospel of Christ in these turbulent times.  Stand with them!  Meet with them around the throne of grace!  Pray for pastors there, for evangelists there, for the ordinary believers there – and for the Lord to send forth still more labourers into this needy and dangerous mission field! But please: do not be misled by these Middle Eastern events, as some Futurist interpreters of Bible prophecy and others are being, into thinking that these things mark the end of the world.  This is the Middle East!  It is the most volatile place on earth.  Revolutions and uprisings are a way of life in the Muslim world, always have been and always will be.  It is not the physical nation of Israel, nor the Islamic fanatics who for many centuries have lived by the sword and will continue to do so, which are at the centre of Bible prophecy; rather, it is the Great Whore, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the earth (Rev. 17), the Roman Papacy, the religion of the Papal Antichrist, which occupies that position, and which must be most carefully watched.  And in fact, in many unseen ways which may or may not be revealed with the passing of time, it is the emissaries of the Papal system, in particular the Jesuits, who are behind the scenes of world events, agitating, stirring, working both sides, pulling the strings of governments, and who are behind the very Globalism which is manipulating the Middle East turmoil right now.  Islam is a devilish religion, a religion of bloodshed and war, but events in the Islamic world do not point to the world’s end.  Pay no heed to sensationalist preachers and “prophetic experts” who have been wrong time and time again; heed the Holy Scriptures alone. Pray for those whom the Lord Jesus Christ is drawing to Himself from the tumultuous Middle East region!  May many Muslims yet see in Him the Prince of Peace, the true and only Saviour of the world!
