Julius the Untouchable, and Racial Polarisation

Malema Lightly Toasted, Not Roasted at “Disciplinary Meeting” Farce
Finally, in May, after an internal ANC farce of a “disciplinary meeting”, Julius Malema was ordered to “apologise”. But – apologise for what, exactly? One South African daily had the headline: “ANC roasts Malema”; but this was simply not the case at all. Although he was originally charged with publicly supporting Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party in Zimbabwe, swearing at the BBC journalist, and singing “shoot the boere” after the song was banned by the high court, these charges were withdrawn during his disciplinary hearing after a plea bargain was reached! And the only charge against him that remained, and for which he was found guilty, was that of his public attack on President Jacob Zuma because Zuma had mildly rebuked him in public! He was ordered to apologise to the president, to attend “anger management classes”, to pay a R10 000 fine, and to attend the ANC’s political school for twenty days.
In a letter to the paper, which was published, I wrote the following:
“‘ANC roasts Malema,’ read the headline. Really? Julius Malema had to apologise for publicly attacking President Jacob Zuma and undermining his stature. But did he apologise for singing ‘shoot the boer’ and thereby inciting violence against whites? No. This charge was withdrawn. Yet now we’re expected to believe that Malema is contrite and humbled. He wasn’t roasted at all – he was lightly toasted, nothing more. The African National Congress is far more concerned about Zuma being verbally attacked than about South Africa’s whites being physically attacked by thugs who are egged on by Malema’s racist incitements to violence. Sorry, but we’re just not all cut up over Zuma’s embarrassment because Malema’s mouth undermined his stature. It’s just so inconsequential in the light of the thousands of white farmers who are being murdered.”

Conclusion
Let me conclude with the same words I used at the conclusion of the previous article:
One thing is very clear: tensions are rising between whites and blacks in the country, and with every racist, inflammatory statement made by Malema and his ilk, SA moves one step closer to the possible attempted genocide of white South Africans, which will lead to civil war. No one should underestimate what is happening in SA. These are very unhappy times, and unless something is done, and soon, by the ruling party to defuse the situation, this country could so easily slide into a state which all right-thinking people desperately want to avoid.
We call upon true Christians to pray for South Africa, and for their brethren living here. The country is once again staring into a horrifying racial abyss.
